The newsletter is released by the United Nations Communications Group (UNCG) under the "One UN" theme.

The theme for this year “Your Life, Your Community: No place for Drugs” is a challenge for all Zambians and youths who are the majority. This year’s observance was held at the Lusaka National Museum, in Lusaka, Zambia. 

Eight years ago, Zambia was among the 189 countries in the world that signed on to the Millennium Declaration in New York and promised to do everything within its means to reach the noble goals by 2015.
